DIRECTOR'S SELF:
Tarik Saleh - born in 1972 in Stockholm. In the 90s he was heavily associated with local hip hop culture as one of the leading Stockholm graffiti artists. His work can be seen in the suburbs of Stockholm, and graffiti, photomontage and collage have been used in his films so far. Before he was behind the camera, he worked as a journalist, columnist and animator at Sveriges Television AB, for which he produced the series "Dream Team". As a co-founder of Atmo Animation, he produced over thirty cartoons. His original documentaries, such as "Sacrificio: Who Betrayed Che Guevara" or "GITMO - New War Laws", won many awards at world festivals, as did the animated drama "Metropia", shown at the 25th Warsaw International Film Festival. In 2011 he made a video for the big hit of the Swedish singer Lykke Li "I Follow Rivers".
