Contemporary Morocco, where tradition mixes with modernity. Twenty-year-old Sofia lives with her parents in Casablanca. She is pregnant, but even she does not want to admit it herself. Extramarital sex is imprisoned in her country. Sofia must make decisions that will save the honor of her family and will affect her throughout her life.
The director Meryem Benm'Barek-Aloïsi, like Asghar Farhadi, shows the image of society through the prism of heroes' problems and fears. Although Sofia's life determines the place of birth, the girl finds the strength to direct her life.
